1.1 Lockable storage is available as an additional service to hall/room hirers only for items and equipment intended to be used during the course of that hire
1.2 Storage may be accessed during specified hall/room hire time, outside of these hours by prior arrangement only and not to interfere with other Centre users
1.3 Charges for hire will be at the current specified rate and invoiced monthly in arrears at the same time as hall/room hire. The charge is made per Monday per week, unless agreed otherwise
1.4 The minimum hire period is one week
1.5 Minimum notice to terminate the hire agreement by either party is 14 days
1.6 We will issue one key for each lock at the time of hire. Keys must not be duplicated as this can damage the locks. We can supply further keys to you on request. All keys must be returned at the end of the hire period.
1.7 The Trustees retain the right to raise the hiring charges. In such cases notification will be made to the hirer of not less than 28 days beforehand
1.8 Storage may be offered to commercial groups or non-users under certain circumstance providing there are no users who wish to hire the space. This will be at twice the usual users’ rate.

2 The hirer must not store or permit any other person to store:- Any unsealed or perishable foodstuffs unless approved by us provided that they are protected from and do not attract vermin
Plants, birds, fish, animals or any other creature
Combustible or flammable materials or liquids such as gas, paint, petrol, oil or cleaning solvents
Firearms, weapons, ammunition, explosives or the components thereof
Toxic waste, asbestos or other materials of a potentially dangerous nature
Any item which emits any fumes, smell or odour
Any illegal substances, illegal items or goods legally obtained
Compressed gases, or any item of high value requiring specialist storage, e.g., jewellery, bullion, fine art, etc.
Any items which may invalidate our insurance policies.

3 The hirer must not or permit any other person to:-
3.1 Alter the cupboards in any way. We may agree to remove unfixed shelving at your request to enable the accommodation of larger items
3.2 Leave any waste that is caused by storing your goods
3.3 Leave any shared storage space unsecured, except at times of access. We will not be responsible for securing any storage space
3.4 Leave your key with anyone who is not your own agent. We will not issue duplicate keys without the hirer’s written permission to anyone other than the hirer or shared hirer
3.5 Attach to or allow to be driven into any part of the storage: - bolts, nails, tacks, screws, nor shall any placards, notices, stickers or other articles be affixed thereto without the written consent of the Trustees nor make any deliberate mark on the internal or external fabric of the storage
3.6 Leave any items in any area of The Centre not included as part of a specified, hired storage area. This includes leaving items on top of cupboards/tea points, inside any tea points, or in any other area of the halls/rooms. Any items left will be removed and will be kept in our lost proerty for up to two weeks, and then may be disposed of in any way we see fit. We reserve the right to cancel any hall/room hire when users’ items are consistently left in areas of the premises that are not storage areas
3.7 Sub-let the storage

4 We reserve the right to
4.1 Access your storage for any time and for any reason
4.2 Remove any items that are not stored in accordance with 2.1 as above and dispose of as we see fit
4.3 Require you to remove the goods from your assigned storage to another suitable storage area specified by us, which shall not be smaller than the current area. We may do this at any time, by giving you 14 days written notice
4.4 Disclose your name and hire time to another user of your shared storage space
4.5 Make a reasonable to charge to make good any damage to storage areas which we consider to be caused by any hirer or their agent or group participants.

5 Our insurance does not cover users’ items stored or otherwise whilst in The Centre and we cannot take responsibility for loss of any items from storage however caused other than through our own negligence. We suggest all hirers seek professional advice re insurance for their stored items. We shall not be responsible for any loss of or damage to any property arising out of the hiring, nor for all loss or damage or injury which may be incurred by or be done or happen to any person or persons resorting to the premises during the hiring, nor for any loss due to breakdown of machinery, failure of electricity, leakage of water, fire, government restriction or act of God which may cause the premises to be temporarily closed or the hiring to be interrupted or cancelled. The hirer shall indemnify the Trustees against any claim in respect of any loss, damage or injury which may arise out of the use of the storage or which may be made by any person resorting to the premises during the storage hiring.

6 The hire may be terminated by either party by giving at least 28 days written notice. At the end of the hire period all hirers (with the exception of those anticipating a further on-going booking within six weeks or as agreed in writing) must
6.1 Ensure that all items are removed from storage. You agree to pay a reasonable charge for the removal and disposal of any goods that remain 14 days after the storage period has ended.
6.2 Return all keys
6.3 Ensure the storage is left in a clean condition
